Threshold A3 Posters

  1. There are two points I would like to make. Firstly, your design seems to have been 'abstracted' quite a lot. Although it is justifiably motivated by the project brief, I think in a way it may have been a bit too abstract - i.e. it seemed like an experimentation to create a form, and so I felt as though you did not take into consideration the 'threshold' as embodying something beyond the physical. I did, however, find that your process was quite creative and distinct; but whether or not it is actually considering the context (the site), the spatial qualities as you journey (in terms of experiencing the space) and function I am not quite sure if the process works out.

And finally, your presentation should repeat less about the overall form but focus on the journey in your threshold. It would be more helpful to 'see' as if I am journeying in your threshold rather than how it looks from an angle I would rarely see (the aerial sky view). This will make the threshold more engaging and strengthen your argument of the experience you wish to impart.
